TITLE: DEVELOPMENT OF A GREEN SOLVENT FOR INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES Objectives:

To investigate and analyze the properties of different solvents commonly used in industrial processes. To evaluate the environmental impact of these solvents. To develop a green solvent alternative with improved environmental sustainability. Methodology:

Conduct literature review on solvents commonly used in industrial processes and their properties. Evaluate the environmental impact of these solvents using life cycle assessment methodologies. Synthesize and test a new solvent alternative with improved environmental sustainability, focusing on reducing toxic emissions and minimizing waste production. Characterize the new solvent in terms of properties such as solubility, volatility, and stability, and compare its performance with the commonly used solvents. Expected Outcomes:

A comprehensive understanding of the properties and environmental impact of commonly used solvents in industrial processes.

Development of a green solvent alternative with improved environmental sustainability, and demonstration of its efficacy in industrial processes. Recommendations for the adoption of green solvents in the industry. This project can be completed through a combination of laboratory experiments, simulation studies 3
