Initiated and reviewed domestic violence cases seeing cases through to prosecution or case closure. Performed follow up investigations on old and outstanding cases and filed the appropriate criminal charges.
Utilized numerous investigation systems and resource databases such as DIMS, ARS, TLO, Leads Online, LINX, NEDS, MDS, TDEX, and DPS, to help locate offenders, victims, and witnesses and document evidence.
Interviewed suspects, complainants, and witnesses taking written and / or audio statements. Collected video, audio, and photographic evidence for trail. Obtained grand jury subpoenas to preserve evidence such as phone records, bank statements and utility records. Maintained good working relationships with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Domestic Violence Unit. Completed monthly reporting statistics.
Explorers Program - Lead coordinator and program administrator for the Precinct 4 Explorers Program. Developed and practiced role-playing scenarios such as traffic stops, active shooters, crime scene searches and similar events. Established and developed course training requirements assuring all department objectives were met. Host and participate in statewide competitions.

Conduct interviews, collected evidence related to crimes, and complete follow up investigations, seeing cases through to prosecution. Work closely with the district attorney’s office in discussing appropriate charges necessary for an arrest or warrant. Prepare and file warrants through the district attorney’s office and meet with district judges to expedite warrants on violent offenses.
