Triumph Group – Windsor, CT – Quality/Supplier Engineer October 2017 – March 2022

Performed product acceptance and tracked supplier performance on Triumphs current Customers through receiving, in-process and final inspection of product and daily MRB activities determining in-house and supplier RCCA’s.

Visited and been in direct contact with several of Triumph’s current OEM’s conducting QMS surveillance audits evaluating and recommending solutions and process improvements to help achieve contractual requirements.

Worked with internal supply chain management in identifying Customer requirements flow down to support supplier’s performance activities.

Performed Source Inspection, and First Article Inspections validating AS9102 requirements were being met.

Kollmorgen Corp/Danaher/L-3 – Quality Engineer 1998 - 2016

Performed contract review of quality system requirements as a member of the design review team ensuring performance requirements were identified on purchase orders and flowed down to all pertinent levels through the manufacturing stages.

Performed internal and external audits to ensure compliance to contractual and QMS requirements.

Reinforced at every stage of the manufacturing process the need to maintain consistency through the inspection, assembly, test and final acceptance of all product for end item conformance to ensure optimum yield. (Daily auditing of work packages)

Worked with the Gov’t/Customer representatives in the testing and inspection of product to validate product performance and audit ensuring all contractual requirements were being met.

Traveled to all key suppliers for product source inspection for final acceptance of material prior to shipment along with performing supplier QMS audits.

Partnered with Engineering, Manufacturing and the Customer on all MRB activities in determining root cause and corrective actions of non-conforming material identifying the continuous improvement objectives both internally and supplier related needed for the implementation of effective preventive actions.

Worked directly with Quality management and Purchasing on approved supplier data base making decisions on approvals and deletions based on trend analysis.

Kollmorgen Corp. – Supervisor of Periscope Operations 1996 – 1998

Administered the daily responsibilities of all assembly personnel to achieve schedule and delivery goals.

Planned and managed the daily operations of that department to ensure contractual requirements and budgets were maintained.

Incorporated necessary changes to achieve best practices for the assembly floor including equipment updating and updated procedures needed for an evolving product line.

Kollmorgen Corp. – Group Leader 1989 – 1996

Managed the everyday operation of the Optical/Mechanical Test Group coordinating the use of resources to achieve daily and contractual requirements along with personally performing test operations as a test technician.

Trained and coached junior test group technicians in job responsibilities along with departmental procedures and policies.

Kollmorgen Corp. – Test Technician 1983 – 1989

Conducted product acceptance testing as an Optical/Mechanical Quality Assurance Test Technician. Responsible for the testing and acceptance of customer product throughout its assembly and final acceptance to performance requirements.

Performed calibration on pressure gages and optical/mechanical equipment for acceptance of product.

Enlisted and served 4 years in the US Navy achieving an honorable discharge.

Developed skills to service and maintain optical/mechanical navigational equipment such as submarine periscopes, telescopic alidades, sextants and binoculars.

Achieved the rank of Opticalman Petty Officer 2nd class (E-5).

Enlisted and served one year in the Naval Reserves achieving the rank of Opticalman Petty Officer 1st class (E-6).
