Networked with Managers that I had previously worked with during my career at LMIT, Legion and EKS that left the previous Companies to start a smaller DOD Contracting Company. In most Scenarios the Companies were Disabled Veteran Owned Companies.
They were smaller Companies and were not having success with Staffing Companies filling the Niche positions and had reached out to me due to our established professional as well as a friendship and asked if I would be able to assist in filling their empty slots.
Word of Mouth quickly spread and within three months I was filling 6-10 positions a month at 15-20% of the Annual Salary of the Positions I filled.
It worked out wonderfully because of me being in the Industry for the amount of time I had been I still had a Great amount of referrals coming in via email and via phone.
I also used tools such as Linkedin, Networking with Active Military Personnel and I also teach the TAPS class on several Military Bases.
