Description of duties: Worked alongside other interns and full-time employees to maintain and conserve one of America’s national wildlife refuges. Duties consisted of typical yard work such as mowing grass, planting landscapes and lake management. We would go out on calls of injured or captive animals and take them to the appropriate rehabilitator or nurse them to health and return them to the wild. Several times I got the opportunity to go with some of the biologists and band songbirds or Canada Geese.
