Professional Experience:

Nestle Zimbabwe, Harare, Southerton Plant, Production Supervisor, (November 2021 - Present)

Nestle is the world’s largest food and beverage Manufacturer with over 2000 brands globally. The Harare Southerton plant is currently responsible for the manufacture of 2 distinct products, powdered milks and cereals. I am currently part of the stuff responsible for the overseeing the manufacturing (processing: milks spray drying and cereals roller drying plant) activities within the organisation with the focus on delivering the highest quality product at the least possible cost.

Currently my responsibilities include:

oTechnical services for repairs/adjustments, maintenance and troubleshooting of machine faults.

oQuality Assurance for material and product releases and process control activities.

oSafety Health & Environment (SHE) to ensure a safe working environment and compliance to SHE regulations

oHR to ensure personnel welfare, training and compliance to factory regulations and labor laws.

oLine managing a team of days or shift-based production operative (organize, motivate, communicate, set objectives)

oDelivering a training plan to budget to meet both individual and business needs.

oAsset Intensity and Capacity Utilization Monitoring

oOperations Review Reporting and Standard Routines Development

Production Department:

oManage efficient and optimal use of resources i.e. machines, time & labour in line with the set production line standards and targets (KPIs) for both Cereals Processing and Milks processing Plants.

oManage volumes and quality of products by ensuring proper parameters and checks are done on real-time basis and captured in SAP and NSAM during production process.

oPlan, co-ordinate and manage the manufacturing process at the plant so as to make available on a daily basis the required product within the specified quality, cost and time

oConstantly aim at the best performances of the production equipment and contribute to the upkeep and availability of the plant equipment

Engineering Department:

oAssist the Plant Engineer with job timing, work scheduling, managing responsive maintenance as well as make recommendations to the Manufacturing Manger which could improve quality, increase productivity and reduce costs.

oIdentify, plan & manage preventative, corrective, planned and shut down maintenance according to SAP Work Management

oProcess as well as provide technical assistance as required on Cereals, Milks and Waste - Water Treatment Plants

oInstallation /Assembling of new, original and/or refurbished Machinery and Commissioning.

oBasic boiler installations and maintenance; steam traps, valves, stockers, gearboxes and steam leak elimination.

oAdherence to Safety Health and Environment and Quality Assurance requirements rules and regulations.

oUse of precision measurement tools and equipment to determine serviceability and/or accuracy.

Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited, Bulawayo Zimbabwe, Industrial Degree Attachment, (June 2018 - August 2019)

Schweppes Zimbabwe’s Bulawayo production site manages the company’s Mazoe line of products manufacturing. I was part of a team of 25 permanent staff who oversaw, managed and were responsible for $11,2 million value of sales of Mazoe, Minutemaid, Bonaqua, and Schweppes water products. The company uses Batch manufacturing and 1-week lead time MRP system for orders in combination FIFO dispatch system in its business

During this tenure l worked in the Warehouse, Production and Engineering Departments. The warehouse department is responsible for stock control of up to 500 000 cases of Schweppes products and distribution to the market and depots within the southern region. The Production Department is responsible for manufacturing (the direct conversion of raw materials into final product) Mazoe Line of Beverages. The department runs on double shift system (10hours/shift) with production capacities of 5 624cases/shift. In the Engineering department, was responsible for supporting the functions of the other functional departments by ensuring machinery, buildings and equipment functions as efficiently as possible. My responsibilities were:

Production Department

Monitoring the output in three sections of the department namely, PET blow molding, Syrup manufacture and bottling

Monitor controls to ensure effective use of production capacity, manpower, equipment, and other resources to reduce manufacturing cost.

Implement, monitor and track departmental expenditure in line with budget

Implement corrective actions to address deviations in processes and draw up specifications for any equipment needed

Execute daily, weekly and monthly production plan

Ensure adherence to KORE, FSSC, OHSAS, ISO and Schweppes company policies

Conduct awareness campaigns on process improvement

Report on daily, weekly and monthly departmental performance to the Production Manger

Review and come up with standard operating procedures

Monitoring production activities to ensure effective use of resources to achieve set production targets at the lowest cost and in consistence with Schweppes Zimbabwe Limited company practices and policies

Engineering Department

Voluntary Service:

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ward Clerk, (January 2018 – December 2021) .

My responsibilities included:

oBeing the financial accountant of the ward plan budget and allocate Ward funds to respective auxiliaries.

oWorking with the bishop to oversee the records, reports, and finances of the ward.

oEnsuring that ward financial obligations are paid, and reconciliation of the ward checking account.

oAssisting in accounting for and depositing tithes and offerings.

oProviding tithing statements for tithing settlement.

oKnowing and Ministering to Each Ward Member to support their physical and emotional shortcomings as needs be.

oParticipating in Bishopric Meetings as assigned, taking notes and keeping track of assignments and decisions.

oHelping Plan Sacrament Meetings by selecting speakers, helping the selected speakers prepare their talks/presentations, collecting and maintaining Sacrament attendance register.

oParticipating in Ward Council Meetings. Providing Administrative Support to the Bishopric by: Providing membership directories, lists, and attendance rolls to the bishopric and other ward leaders, Using the various reports in Leader and Clerk Resources (LCR) to help the bishopric be aware of upcoming ordinances for ward members, including the naming and blessing of children, baptism and confirmation of eight-year-old children of record, and conferral of the Aaronic Priesthood and ordination to the offices of deacon, teacher, and priest, Helping the bishopric be aware of members in military service and members who have recently moved into the ward.

oReceiving attendance records from quorum and organization secretaries, as well as reports of ministering interviews.

oCompiling these records and the sacrament meeting attendance records into the Quarterly Report, and making sure the report is submitted on time.

oUsing ward records and reports to help the bishopric better understand the strengths and needs of the ward.

oHelp train quorum and organization secretaries and assistant ward clerks in their responsibilities with records, reports, and finances.

oAs requested, provide members with copies of their Individual Ordinance Summary for their personal records. Review this information with members yearly to ensure accuracy.

oEnsure that certificates for blessing, baptism and confirmation, and priesthood ordination are given to ward members and that these ordinances are properly and promptly recorded.

oRequesting records for new members or transfer records for members moving out of the ward.
