In the present, like freelance, I have some collaboration with Romanian naval register, petroleum and gas companies and one Nitrogenous Fertilizer Plant. My duty is to offer consultancy and perform audit for contractor and subcontractors according with client request, to assure a nice and strong collaboration between client and contractor and to maintain good relationship with different third parties’ authorities (DNV, GL, BV and TUV). For the above collaboration I`m responsible for welders’ qualification, preparing and qualifying WPS, decide the scope of work of each type of inspector / NDT operator, prepare and issue working procedure, prepare welding book and final documentation, assist contractor inspection in front of client, closing of NCR-s, prepare corrective action and verify the implementation of QMS. For Quality Assurance (QA), this entails:

Externally, QA surveillance of Contractors and Major Subcontractors in Nigeria through quality audits and visits; this surveillance is carried for and in coordination with the Quality Manager & EPC Managers concerned.

For Quality Control:

Manage a team in Nigeria of QC Engineers for Quality Surveillance and review of Contractors', Subcontractors' and suppliers' QC/Inspection & Test Plans for adequacy (format, document control and enforcement to Quality specifications); prime responsibility for Quality Control rests with the EPC managers and their teams. Manage the coating, welding and NDT fields. Specific Activities:

- To support and enforce the Company HSEQ charters, objectives, directives.

- To promote Quality in the project and provide Quality advice.

- To investigate any identified or reported problem in the application of Project QMS and propose solutions/improvements to the concerned Managers.

- To prepare and implement External Audit Plan covering Contractors and Major Subcontractors. Ensure that the related QMS are in accordance with the requirements.

- To monitor the External audit findings & remarks, and any other reported Quality problems, through periodic meetings with Contractors.

- Use visits to worksites to liaise with resident project personnel and review any quality problems or difficulties they report.

- Project: SCARABEO 8; off-shore, FPSO and topside project;

- Position: QA/QC Welding & NDT Supervisor, with additional job in commissioning (piping and mechanical);

- Project: GNL 3Z ARZEW, Algeria.

- Position: QA/QC Department, Welding / NDT & Corrosion Engineer Specialist;

- Duties: to coordinate activities of welding and NDT; prepare WPS, check how this are implemented; numbers of inspectors: 6 welding inspectors for piping activity, 4 welding inspectors for tanks; for NDT activities was necessary to coordinate the present activity with the other one; numbers of inspectors: 3 NDT operators, 1 technician; responsible for final documentation of project for all welding activity; perform Piping work in Pre Engineering, Detail Engineering and As Built phase; responsible for minor studies and modifications; contribute to the training of junior personnel; assure support and assumes responsibility for areas related to corrosion monitoring and control including plant;

- Standards used: ASTM, ASME 9, ASME 8, ASME B-31-4 & B-31-8, API 1104, ASME B-31-3, API 510, 570, 580, 653, NACE and TEMA.

- Duties: respect the implementation of ITP to decide the right points of inspection; identifies critical process equipment and piping; determines replacement, repair requirements and remaining service life of equipment and piping based on evaluation of inspection findings and operating condition; manage the activity of 16 inspectors / operators (welding, piping, NDT and coating);

7. Consolidate Contractors Company-WLL Greece; 2005-2006.

- Name project: KHURSANIYAH PRODUCING FACILITIES from Saudi Arabia; - Type of project: refinery;

- Client: ARAMCO; QA/QC activity was done under Snamprogetti Co.’s surveillance, from ENI Group; - Position: QA/QC Division, QA/QC Welding Specialist.

- Duties: consist in manage inspection activity for a team by 8-10 inspectors, pipe and welding inspectors; maintain the relation with Snamprogetti /ARAMCO` s surveyors, check and follow how is interpretive and used the standards, procedures, ITP`s and correlation between its; the parameters during welding process and all auxiliary requirements acc. work procedure, are checked for avoid the bed results regarding UT, RT and MPT; not in the last, we are verified drawings; corrosion evaluation; material selection philosophy; corrosion protection philosophy; maintenance and inspection philosophy; evaluation of existing piping/equipment material with new operating conditions; - Standards used: ASTM, NACE, TEMA, ASME IX, AWS D1.1, Piping process B-31-3, API 510, 570, 580 and 653.

- Type of project: offshore; Barge Gas Dehydration-EMERGENCY POWER GENERATION; topside modules; Client: AGIP-KCO Italy;

- Position: QA/QC Division, QA/QC Project Coordinator;

- Duties: manage 10-12 inspectors, 2 PC operators and one NDT team (6 operators for MPT/UT+2 RT operators); check the implementation of Quality Manual` s rules acc. to the quality system of D.N.V.; pursuit and launch of QA activity for this project; calcification and certification of the all personnel which were involved in the project; cooperation with Welding Lab., Design Dept. and QA Dept.; verify the W.P.S.-s, interpretation of this and the mode of used; An important activity consisted in piping work; in fact, it is the main part for barge (offshore type); this involve checking the isometric drawings, inspection for pre-erection (mainly prepare for welding, alignment, traceability), erection (when the welding is done, start visual inspection, preparation for NDT); base material for pipes depend by technical destination of platform; so, we use stainless steel, hardox plates, carbon steel with high strength, and good mechanical characteristics at low or high temperature; during the project, different thickness and diameters was used; not in the last, blasting and painting, was part of my job description; preparation surface for painting was done in different stadiums of project; type of blasting was drying or wet; welding process which was used: WIG/TIG, MIG/MAG, SAW and rarely SMAW. For this project it was necessary to use the construction specification for fixed offshore structures on the North Sea: EEMUA 158/1994, AWS and ASME.

9. SNC LAVALIN Canada; Plant work: Sarir- LIBIA; 2002-2004.

- Client: Libyan authority;

- Position: QA/QC Department; I was Welding & Corrosion Eng. for the activity of bell and spigot- ring shop, cylinder shop, fitting shop (SOP-short outlet pipes and closures) and finishing area;

- Duties: consisted in checking how was used the WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), pursuit of production and present written reports; corrosion evaluation; material selection philosophy; corrosion protection philosophy; maintenance and inspection philosophy; evaluation of existing piping/equipment material with new operating conditions; together with design department decide the control points for future plan of maintenance and corrosion activity;

- The activity for all welding inspectors was under my control; all NCR-s and CAR-s (corrective action report) was verified and approved by me;

- The system of quality requires using AWWA, AWS, API, NACE, ASME, TEMA and ASTM; good knowledge of blasting and painting.

10. DAEWOO Mangalia Heavy Industries Shipyard; 1998-2002.

- Member engineer of Technical Team-Repair Division. That means cumulated services into single office. I made design, technology and implementation solutions for repair and conversion vessels. The best project was the transformation a military ship (Russian attack ship for spread armored machine on water) in Dutch technical ship for to install in deep, optical cable in the ocean; - Production engineer- New Building Division; here I was in contact with all what means to build new vessel, starting with plane ensemble, piping, mechanical-locksmith, welding, blast, paint, pre- erection, etc., on short, that means than an engineer supervised the new vessel’s building, from starting to end;

- QC Inspector for offshore projects, main activity was to check with the drawings the naval aspect of section; application and verification technologies. I used different naval register (DNV, BV, GL, RNR, API, AWS, API, ASTM, NACE, ASME and TEMA etc.);
