Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing to express my interest in the position of Physician Assistant in Hematology Oncology. I am a recent graduate from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN and have received my certification through NCCPA. As I worked through my education and completed rotations, my desire to work in the field of Hematology Oncology grew. I had the opportunity to rotated through MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas which allowed me to increase my knowledge in the field of Hem/Onc. Through this experience I was able to see the great impact that working as a provider in this field can have on the patient population. I am interested in applying for this position as I believe I have the personality and drive to operate well with this patient population while working to improve the health outcomes and quality of life of the patients under my care.
My goal while working as a physician assistant in hematology oncology is to treat patient concerns as they develop. I will work to provide the best level of care for the patients ensuring that they are properly educate the patients on their disease outcomes, complications, and medication regiments. I desire to promote comprehensive wellness and health care maintenance in their acute presentations while promoting activities to improve chronic illness management such as diet and nutrition and physical activity. I want to promote positive outcomes allowing the patient to maintain the highest quality of life available while they are facing complicated and challenging medical diagnoses. I seek to grow my knowledge in the field of hematology oncology medicine.
During my time working in the ICU at MD Anderson I was able to assist in the management of hematology oncology patients experiencing acute crises of their illness. I worked with these patients to address their specific concerns regarding their disease pathologies and symptom presentations. I appreciated the ability to communicate with the patients families to educate and support their emotional needs. I am a well-educated, adaptable, and driven student with a strong desire to learn. I will be able to quickly apply training and knowledge provide exemplary care. I will continue to strive to serve your practice to the best of my abilities.
