Administrative duties in the Solid Waste Collection office such as supervising assigned personnel and routes, assigning routes, maintaining contact with the department head and providing feedback on operations, taking attendance and reporting absences, taking customer complaints and instructing assigned personnel on corrective actions, encouraging compliance with regulations, compiling daily reports, conducting and documenting safety instruction meetings, maintaining route sheets for addresses and schedules for solid waste containers, documenting accidents and property damage, completing performance appraisals of assigned personnel, conducting interviews of prospective employees, and answering phones.
