SUBJECT: Application and bio-data for the post of an ‘ONLINE/ENGLISH TEACHER’.

Dear Madam, Sir,

I believe progressive education consists of the right atmosphere and instruction that go hand in hand in creating successful institutions. Thus having acquired the right sense of purpose with 'inspiring positive attitudes' and 'sure-success skills', I bound all members of my school communities collectively, into centres of excellence. So what I'm trying to imply here is my interest, long years of English Language teaching experience and my skilled ability in developing schools, preparing staff and students and their parents, for the various tasks and challenges, so that, assignments and problems that arise, are dealt with effectively and accurate judgments are successfully arrived at. I have always promoted methods and strategies that are best suited to enable students of all ages to qualify for stiff competition academically, physically, emotionally and enduringly in an international arena. Alongside, I have provided able guidance, fruitful liaison and round-the-clock supervision, according to current educational objectives, curricula and syllabi to encourage their spirit of enquiry, address individual needs of pupils, and cultivate excellence in their deliveries. Thus, I have always ensured that talent searching began from the doorstep of school in a permitted variety of pursuits for the natural development of personality and the value of time-bound achievements.

I believe and have observed in each child I have come in contact with, their inherent power to aspire to see, be and learn to express the real self that they are and have used successfully in the past, such encouraging methods of teaching and learning through motivation to enlighten their environment-thus brightening their mood with new vitality. This helps revive and elevate consciousness leading to growth and progress.

Let me start at the very beginning…My career began in Darjeeling where I coordinated the establishment of an elite feeder primary school, for an educational society, that readied students for the heritage boarding schools there, where every summer, even the Hon. State Governor’s Staff sent their children.

After that stint, my next venture was a progressive day & residential K-12(CBSE) at Nagaland, based on the insights and educational philosophy of a contemporary Commonwealth Educationist Sir R. W. Livingstone, who propagated an interactive teaching cum learning atmosphere. Thus, I made friends, worked alongside colleagues, empowered students, guided and was guided by parents and acquaintances during my tenure there, ultimately leading to the institution being awarded the President’s Medal.

This kind of diverse employment, involved brainstorming, planning project reports to the bank, advertising, marketing, building from scratch in the undulating scrubland, budgeting, teaching, motivating and being an able administrator, and most of all, convincing all and sundry in the take-off stages, keeping the flock persevering in the foundation stage, till the results were achieved; and in the process becoming skilled in helping to establish successful K-12 English Medium Schools.

In 1996 after my alma mater’s centenary celebrations at Darjeeling; which I helped coordinate, I moved to Sitapur; 80 km from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on the Delhi/Nainital highway and worked there helping the Founders in then, an educationally backward area, in establishing a landmark educational institution, which is today from foundation level to Teachers’ Training College level.

The 2000s have kept me focused on developing or reforming more schools(ICSE and CBSE) in Lucknow, Allahabad(deputed 2005-'06 by National Sports Academy[Gymnastics/SAI] after-'Gymnastic Commonwealth Team Selection for 2010'-to start a separate school for them on a new campus). and Haldwani at the foothills of Nainital, where I was deputed by the Under Secretary(CBSE), Delhi, as 'Member' ('CBSE +2 level' Inspection Team) till the end of my tenure there.

I have also been encouraging more digitized and personalized teaching and learning modes in my institutions alongside regular classroom teaching and learning methods, to encourage and foster individual student interest and involvement through tech-based online learning, which is more individualized and can be continued at home as homework if made digitally inviting; it becomes beneficial when it engages them with interest that is similar to their interest that they generate for ‘social media’.

That said and done, in the past, I also engaged myself in freelance educational consultancy, for example, a brainstorming session with the Vibgyor Managerial Team, Mumbai, at the onset of their new school launches earlier on); all this, whilst keeping myself fit & fine, mentally, spiritually, emotionally & physically and as always, rearing to impart: the right amount of ‘instruction and atmosphere’, according to the aims & objectives of progressive education and literacy societies.

I now constantly keep up to date with K-12 educational curricula, blended/flipped/0nline English learning methodology, etc, to ensure each objective is adhered to and fulfilled.

To conclude, I promise the sweet satisfaction of a job earnestly completed with progressive results for student achievement being monitored and shown.
