COO for Save-A-Lot Stores Jackson MS.

Responsible for store operations/EBIT/supply-chain, cost control on labor& train the trainer programs, HR hiring management/key positions and conflict resolution.

Conduct weekly Webex calls with the management team to ensure compliance and the communication process is intact and understood.

Work with the Jackson market /St Louis on Ad development and compliance in all locations to ensure customer satisfaction.

Develop schematics by depts for store management to follow as items change due to supplier issues. Work with local government agencies to ensure compliance for OSHA and the agricultural dept. (Food safety, Sanitation and to mitigate shrink)

Develop spreadsheets for gross profit realization, shrink reduction and download to store systems weekly.

Direct operations for the Western area of TN and Mississippi Save A Lot Stores. Save A Lot is a limited assortment store that sells a majority of private label products in a small box keeping cost down, value high and pricing extremely competitive. Our managers wear several hats to ensure we give our customers a unique shopping experience. I collaborate with several licensees/owners and our store managers to ensure great store conditions, inventory control, truck to shelf ordering, shrink controls and merchandising strategies. I also direct our Memphis Ad group and marketing team to customize our weekly company ads. Work with owners for new sites and opening new stores. Corporate Chef /Director Food Service /HMR Operations

Directed and developed chain wide operating standards while consulting with franchise owners on procedures for merchandising, marketing, and implementation of Food Service/Home Meal Replacement programs for 178 stores. Coordinate with Culinary Institute (CIA) to develop new products to exceed or meet restaurant quality.

Directed the design and execution of store specific merchandising plans that created “Retail Theater” and engineered layouts for new and remodeled stores. Created Food Service & Bundled Meals Program that increased sales by 34% that year and added 30 basis points to the net margin. Directed and designed training seminars in conjunction with the Culinary Institute of America for Corporate and Member owned stores.
