The Rail Transformation Programme (RTP) has been established within the Roads and Railway Sector to deliver the Plan for Rail. The Minister Transportation under the Rail Modernization Programme (RMP) Major Projects Portfolio, it is a top priority of each State, providing a once in a generation change to Nigerian railways and a unique opportunity to shape a key part of the future transport network.
The Port Harcourt to Maiduguri narrow gauge railway reconstruction project with new branch lines to Owerri, Imo State and Damaturu, Yobe State.
The project is with the objective of resuscitating the once vibrant railway transportation in the Eastern railway corridor of the country, Port Harcourt – Maiduguri.
Job description
Responsibilities of the role include:
Centre of Expertise
Establishing the environment to enable sector change; understanding people impacts and working with the sector to manage and assure them in an appropriate way
Lead and chair cross sector and Change Working Group
Developing cross sector change management framework and providing programme level assurance for change management activity at key delivery/transition points
Owns the strategy and delivery of change management activities for DfT Internal Transformation
