Netgear — Senior Training Manager

2005 - 2020

● I increased product placements and sales at key accounts for consumer and business products. Managed the deployment and successful sales of products in specialized accounts, including: HSN, school districts, hotel groups, airports, government accounts, in addition to other business and consumer accounts. In addition, I managed the company’s assisted sales team and led them to success while hiring, developing, and mentoring team members. I also developed curriculum and managed training of sales reps for all major accounts to increase product knowledge and mindshare for Netgear products.

● Introduced and managed the launch of networking access point products to the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), resulting in world-wide deployment. I launched an entire line of consumer products for Netgear, including networking, IoT, and smart home accessories. I represented Netgear at the grand opening of Fry’s store in Georgia which resulted in more sales in that one store than the entire Fry’s chain.

● Developed a plan and strategy which included creating and implementing training of major accounts’ store sales staff

Resulting in a 10x lift in retail sales and catapulted Netgear into the #1 position at retail.

I maintained this position by traveling throughout the United States to ensure training programs were managed and implemented correctly.

Actionlink — National Manager, Networking Division 2003 - 2005

● I drove growth of the overall networking category for Belkin by developing a successful launch of networking products in the consumer market.

I hired, developed, and directed sales teams and managers, focusing on big-box retailers. While managing two concurrent assisted sales teams at retail, I developed a strategic merchandising, sales, and training plan for increasing store sales and product knowledge. This resulted in growth from #6 to #1 product on the shelf for all networking products.

Marketsource — Apple Power Representative

1997 - 2001

● I led successful Apple events partnering with Nabisco, The Learning Company, and Publix Supermarkets for the All About Kids Day events at the Tampa Convention Center. I negotiated with local radio and TV stations for free radio and television advertising to publicize those events. Over 200,000 people attended the events, increasing brand awareness and sales for Apple computer products. I worked with partners to create a booth and coordinate promotional advertising at remote sites. I also partnered with the Miami Dolphins Organization and The Learning Company to drive market share and sales for Apple products at over 200 events. CERTIFICATIONS.
