EFC Uganda Limited (MDI) 2015 – 2020 Data Entry Assistant (CRB)/IT help Desk My duties in this position include; Database management, credit reference bureau, IT support, and core banking system support Database Management and Credit Reference Bureau

v Provide Microsoft SQL database support to user’s access tools and applications connecting to the database.

v Work closely with the database administrator to prepare reports for various SQL databases

v Making sure the company’s core banking system and inter branch database are fully operational in supporting and responding to customer requests

v Work closely with the database administrator to execute tasks as assigned by the CIO such as developing dashboards that help users gain insight into business quickly and reliably

v Run multiple quality checks on the SQL database to ensure is correct information before submitting test reports

v Working with the database administrator in writing scripts required to extract data in SQL and create daily reports in designed excel spreadsheets. v Data extraction and submission to credit reference bureau (CRB) service providers for validation, retrieve results for validation, appraise results for any rejections, identify cause of rejection and correct them. v Liaise with credit, risk, compliance and internal audit on risk related issues and act on their recommendations.

v Perform SQL database backup in accordance with the procedures. Installation of the core banking system user interface application for users. v Follow up with CRB service providers in terms of service provision and system stability as well as connectivity related issues.

v Identify group and individual training needs and provide ongoing, relevant technology tips to employees

v Prepare CRB performance reports in relation to data output files. Update disputes register and track progress of disputes. Ensure compliance with the CRB and bank of Uganda rules and regulations.

v Receiving and reconciling all billing details and submission of billing details to the finance team. Coordinate and perform firm-wide employee training courses and skill set testing

IT Support and Related activities

v Coordinate and perform training of new employees v Determine correlation between Help Desk-related issues and training necessary to address repeated issues

v Consult with vendors, training companies and other resources to develop a training program and plan for each employee

v Follow standard Help Desk operating procedures; accurately log all Help Desk tickets using the defined tracking tool

v Design and develop written, online, audio and/or video training manuals and materials for new and existing software

v Setting up and configuration of new emails accounts and respond to queries regarding outlook
