Accomplishments

Troubleshooting

The electrical structures in a test unit [package] were experiencing a short at the testing stage. I had to troubleshoot the structures and pin locations. I found that the unit had several structure flaws which validated that the unit had major design issues.

Developing an effective and time saving testing method

I created a BKM (Best Known Method) for testing flux and epoxy activation time and spread ability using a hot plate. This method helped Engineers to screen the material ahead of time to determine if the calculated settings would work in the production environment.

Solving Data Reporting Gaps

I led the quality assurance role for SDS's (Safety Data Sheets) to ensure specific gravity was captured. Trying to gather this information was a been a for the team, without this information, data reporting would be inaccurate and could lead to reporting issues. I conducted independent research on the regulatory expectations for specific gravity disclosure and used this information as part of my approach with suppliers to close the data gaps and improve data quality.
