I am a firm believer that compassion, empathy, and kindness will move mountains in just about any situation. Genuine effort will leave most people at least content, even if the end result is not the desired outcome. A smile can be heard over the phone, and people deserve to be treated as the individuals we are; to treat all situations/circumstances the same will reflect as robitic and insincere. My aim is to diligently exhaust all options, within my means of knowledge and experience, in the efforts of helping others, [the public as well as my co-workers]. I love to learn and enjoy teaching; there's much to be gained in being humble enough to admit I don't know everything, as well as the gratification of providing knowledge to others. Teamwork does truly make the dream work. Authorized to work in the US for any employer
Work Experience
Retail Associate
Value World Thrift Store - Eastpointe, MI
November 2022 to Present
Inspection of donations; discarding clothing that is stained, has holes or tears, too stretched out, faded, etc. Clothing in good enough condition for resale is hung to be priced and added to the appropriate section on the sale floor. Also, my job requires cross-training for when assistance is needed in other areas, and my cross-training includes putting newly donated, in sellable condition, out on the sale floor, and tagging sellable items with the appropriate tags for the sake of aging cycles, (i.e. older items are known based on the color of the tag and therefore after so long without being sold will be clearanced and eventually, taken off the sales floor and discarded), and offer customers assistance with finding specific items, answering questions and getting desired items missing a price marked by the appropriate person for whatever department the item is from. Lastly, providing assistance and team efforts to co-workers when needed.
