Professional Work Experience:

Clinics

1.Outpatient clinic for adults and children for fracture cases. Patients treated in ER and treated/operated are followed up in the outpatient clinics until the fractures are healed and patients resume their job after rehabilitation.

2.CTEV clinic is being run once a week and Ponseti technique is used to correct the correctible CTEV children. And are followed up for serial casting.

3.DDH clinic is a basic screening clinic for newborns and neglected cases are picked and treated as per the requirement of the child. In this clinic we do ultrasound of hips and X rays for hips usually at the age of one month to look up the developing hips.

Day Surgeries:

Short surgical procedures are performed on a day care basis in which ganglion,cysts and and small soft tissues biopsies are performed .Small procedures like removal of Implants and fracture manipulation of fractures under anaesthesia and closed reduction of DDH with or without adductor tenotomy under Image intensifier is done and hip spica is applied.

Elective Surgeries

Trauma cases are operated on the priority basis as an emergency or urgent procedure like Dislocations, Open fractures,Intra Articular fractures, fractures with neurovascular compromise and Children injuries etc.Tumour Biopsies and palliative surgeries and reconstruction surgeries and children with congenital defects or deformities like CTEV and DDH, Polydactyl are admitted and operated as an elective.

Ward Rounds.

Daily clinical meeting is run by all the staff of Trauma and Orthopedic unit and all the admitted cases are discussed for the treatment plan and surgical procedure to give best possible solution to the patient with orthopedic /trauma problems. Pre-op and Post-op care of patients is planned and followed up.

Training and Teaching

Residents and Registrars in the team are usually completing their residency training towards their fellowship programs. There are academic sessions, on the job training like ward rounds, bed side history, examination, differential diagnosis, weekly tutorials and interactive group discussions and hand on workshops on different orthopedic techniques. I actively participate, assist and supervises all these activities with utmost interest.

Administrative Responsibilities

Monthly intra departmental meeting is being organized by me and day to day administrative problems are discussed to come up with a solution to each one and in addition to this journal club and social get together are also being organized and actively participated by me.
