Decker Elementary - Manor Independent School District 2015 - 2017, Manor, TX
Hired to teach a self-contained second grade class. As a grade level team, we planned the unit based upon what the student was expected to learn to master the grade level, then we built the assessment for students and finally designed lessons to meet the goal. After each unit assessment, we analyzed data, set goals, and reteach opportunities for students. The expectation was to use small groups to differentiate learning for all students using guiding reading and math models. Effectively worked in small groups conducting Daily 5, math workshops and RTI models as well as AVID strategies to help students become successful. Differentiated lessons for a diverse group of students including dyslexia, ADHD, dysgraphia, ODD and at or above grade level students.
Coordinated with vertical grade level teams to align standards necessary for growth across grade levels
