Work Experience

Graduate Research Assistant Office of Management and Entrepreneurship - DePaul University Chicago, IL September 2022 – Present

Use LexisNexis software to conduct advanced research of News publications about activist events inside big US Companies. From this activity, I learn how to pay close attention to details, develop notetaking, time management, problem solving, and communication skills.

Code data collected from the research and related to activist events into an excel spreadsheet. I practice macro program, PivotTable feature, INDEX MATCH, Filters, Conditional Formatting, charts and many more features.

Engineering Intern Principia College Elsah, IL June 2018 – July 2018

Worked in a team of two students to design and build a filament extruder for 3D printing. Our team was supervised by an Oceanography Engineer. I enhanced my teamwork skills, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Used Thermodynamics, Electricity and Magnetism laws to build devices parts and assembled them into a composed functional system according to laws of Mechanics and mathematics. Transformed ideas to concrete objects, learned how to use AutoCAD, laser cutter and 3D printer

Used Arduino Uno software to write code that stimulates and controls the fully automated spinning of the motors installed in the system.

Project Experience

Wireshark Network Labs College of Computing and Digital Media – DePaul University Chicago, IL March 2023 - June 2023

Conducted a set of Wireshark Network Laboratories in a real network environment to understand network protocols. This study revealed what happens under the hood in Distributed Systems.

ran various network applications in different scenarios in a computer and used Wireshark packet sniffer to passively copy messages being sent from and received by the computer. I caused protocols to perform certain actions. I observed the network protocols interacting and exchanging messages with protocol entities executing elsewhere in the Internet.

Wireshark is a free and shareware packet sniffer that runs on windows, Linux or Unix, and Mac computers.

Distributed Intelligent Agent – Hostserver College of Computing and Digital Media – DePaul University Chicago, IL March 2023 - June 2023

Used java multi-threaded and multi-processing programming to implement a system architecture in which intelligent agents can migrate from one host process to another, while maintaining their internal states, share data with members of their group, and in which user clients interact with agents through web server. I learned remote inter-process communication, UDP in this type of communication, and many more.

Used data structures, server loop and sockets to maintain a java nameserver program that knows the location of all agents and hostservers, and provides utilities services. I learned how to use ASCII string for ease of HTML.

Used Java sleep looper and zombie threads to implement autonomous migration of the agent and redirect the browser to the new endpoint of the agent.

Shape Painting Project College of Computing and Digital Media – DePaul University Chicago, IL January 2023 – March 2023

Used Object-Oriented Software Development concepts to design and build incrementally a shape painter in four sprints. The painter can draw, move, delete, group, undo, redo filled-in shapes. From this project, I learned SOLID principles, design patterns, factorization and how to apply these concepts in software development to write robust code.

Implemented these sprints incrementally in java programming language to complete the project. This experience enhanced my programming skills

Used java’s Unit Testing to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and robustness of the code. I explored best practices of Unit Testing in java.
