I was hired in September 2007 as the Neurology nurse for Blanchfield Army Hospital. I generated new H&P forms, Discharge forms etc for the Neurology Department. I did input all labs, meds and referrals for the Chief Neurologist. I coordinated Neurology care for our WTU, Med Board soldiers and TDRL soldiers through our clinic and worked them into our schedule as needed. I coordinated care through the nurse case managers by email and by phone as well. I assisted with Lumbar Punctures, EMGs and Nerve Conduction Studies. I also drew blood when needed. I did receive the Employee of the Month Award for the Specialty Clinic for August 2008 and Employee of the Month Award for Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for September 2008. I attended an EMG workshop in Raleigh, NC in 2008. I was a member of the Specialty Clinic Practice Committee for the duration of our stay with the Specialty Clinic. In 2010 I moved to the Dermatology Department. My duties include assisting the Dermatologists with biopsies, excisions and injections. I have been trained to operate the lightbox devices and lasers. I am very proficient with the computer system (AHLTA, ESSENTRIS) and phone systems as we are one of the only clinics in the hospital to use the digital consent forms for our procedures. I am in charge of ordering and maintaining clinic supplies, organizational activities and was the clinic PAO officer for 2015. I am organized, motivated and am a self starter. I have received many Pulse of the Eagle Awards from our patients and every one of my evaluations have been excellent. I have received 4 Department of the

Army Certificates of Achievement for customer service as well as the Specialty Clinic Congeniality Award for 2020. I am BLS certified.

--From March 2021- June 2021 I volunteered at the COVID vaccine clinic at Ft Campbell to ensure our Active duty as well as dependents were vaccinated.

--From Sept 2021-Present: I have volunteered to work in the COVID triage and evaluations clinic at BACH where I check-in patients, do vital signs, EKGs, draw blood, start IVs, give meds, swab patients for COVID, flu, RSV and strep as needed under the direction of a physician, PA or FNP. I am also certified to do Point of Care testing to include Influenza A & B, RSV, Binax rapid testing and Rapid Strep tests.

-- From August 2021- Present: I work on the weekends to work at the COVID swabbing site at Ft Campbell where we do drive-thru COVID, flu, fluvid and strep testing for Active duty, retiree and dependents.

--I am trained in the use of the Candela YAG hair removal laser. I do use this in my daily duties. I am also trained to preform BOTOX injections for hyperhidrosis, Glycolic Acid, Jessner and TCA chemical peels.

-- I have been cross-trained in the Asthma, Cardiology, Allergy clinic, Primary Care clinics and COVID clinics. I am also trained to run the front desk as a Medical Support Assistant when needed (booking appointments etc).

-- I am in charge of ordering supplies for our clinic through DMLSS. I keep our clinic stocked throughout the year and order new items as needed.

I have gentled and trained greater than 5 wild mustangs and one burro to ride from the ages of yearling to 6 years of age. During my employment at LifeCare of Bruceton, I spent the weekends as the wound care nurse from 11am-7pm and was the charge nurse from 7pm-11pm. I would also work as needed during the week as my schedule would allow. I provided wound care to patients in a large skilled nursing facility. I was also the evening charge nurse. My duties included supervising 2-4 Nursing Assistants, distribution of medications, charting as well as many other tasks that came along as needed. This was a very fulfilling job for me as the most important thing in my career and the reason why I became a nurse is to help people. My patients have always has been my priority.

I attended many Wound Care Workshops and also attended a Legal Charting Seminar which improved my charting skills immensely. I have been complimented on my charting skills by many supervisors and physicians.
