Products: Oil & Gas

Industrial safety products such as fixed and portable gas detectors, and equipment controllers design and development.

Responsible for Product Development Process ensuring engineering milestones and project goals are met, identify, and implement the new requirements as per International Ex Standards (IECEx), Indian standards (IS/IEC) and ATEX

Develop the legacy product as per customer requirement to implement the parameters. Redesign the communication module with gas detector controllers. Coordinate with cross functional team and implemented the rack based, LCD integration with keypad in the available size constraint. TPPR Product purchased to Manufacturing Migration (3 SKU variants) There was requirement from management to manufacturing this product in house built. End to end support from engineering to changes on BOMs, Drawings, Documents, Standard part list for sourcing, sorting out all list of stock and non-stock material type. Saved of Project ~ $167k.

BW Ultra, Phoenix Next gen, Dual Camera

There was requirement from Customer to develop some features. Conceptual workout and study on the instrumental layout, enclosure redesign which has access to removable battery & sensor instead on inbuilt. Camera with Bluetooth module integration on next gen phoenix – Finalizing the POC but dependence of hardware selection related to adding modules and progress for next actions for TRL3.

Excel 2.0 & Optima

There was high cost on casting parts and proposed a material and process change with supplier change to reduce the cost of the product. Support from Engineering for new supplier change to feasible check on TQ from suppliers.The saving cost~$2M.

Sustenance Engineering

As most of products were legacies and not having design files – Support on reverse engineering and provide the packages. Solving the Tolerance, ROHS compliance, Trouble shoot the quality issues ect. Support from Engineering for new supplier change to feasible check on TQ from suppliers. Supporting supply chain/Manufacturing issues such as EOL parts, process deviation, quality issues etc.

Develop multiple conceptual designs in 3D/2D & finalize the model by design review of team members and create the detailed drawings based on the validate model.

Responsible for the design and development of mechanical subsystems and assemblies that belongs to the master BOM of the system according to fit, form and functional requirements.

Design the PCB outline sketch to Final Wired PCB with effective wiring layout between the Master and Daughter PCB's with interlinked connectors, ports, components as SMPS, transformers, drivers, sensors... and Finally making the optimize size of Cabinet Enclosures depend upon the field of our application that means our products will work on different testing fields (Agriculture, pharmacy labs, Sewage, water treatment analysis, Biotechnology and so on) and as per Market Technology.

By coordinate with Hardware and PCB Designer to make a Mechanical Final layout of Flexible Membrane keypad or Mechanical keypad or Making PCB layout for provision to mount Touch keypad interface with all specifications.

Contribution – Worked out on existing Diode Array instrument to cutback errors found by ECR and optimized the design through ECN. Literature and Research is going on for further enhancement of accurate and precise stability.

Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer

Contribution – worked out on redesign of existing instrument to diversify its range in the view of using four number of sources instead of one and its holding and mounting mechanisms.

Mobile Water Quality Test Laboratory (NPD)

Contribution – Worked on client specified parameters for Chennai Metro Water Board to design & develop to automate entire system for 6 new modules (like pH, Chlorine, Ammonia, Nitrite, Turbidity and Conductivity) embedded all modules in single instrument.
