Work in conjunction with the sales team, production and shipping to ensure customer orders are produced and shipped as requested. Manage warehouse stock levels as needed.
The Christy Refractories Company – Customer Service Representative (May 22, 2018 - June 30, 2022)
Hired as Customer Service Representative. Responsibilities include: Order Entry; work closely with the production department and shipping department to coordinate on time, outgoing order shipments. Coordination with freight brokers to schedule LTL/FTL shipments. Generate vendor supply orders in conjunction with what is needed for customer orders. Work with Customer Service Team Lead for inventory management and placing orders to vendors as well as Sales Support for four sales representatives. Code freight bills and vendor invoices for the accounting department.
Missouri American Water – System Records Technician (June 2009 – June 2013)
Hired as Customer Service Representative in the Cashier’s office. Handled customer payment transactions and cash drawer. Responsible for reporting and follow up on customer water usage in various scenarios. Moved to System Records Department (lateral move) in January 2011. Responsibilities were selling new taps and closing them with the correct data for accurate records. Verifying customers have appropriate documentation and equipment to purchase fire hydrant permits. Take phone calls pertaining to water main and service line locations. Creating new customer accounts for billing purposes. Work closely with New Business in the Engineering Department and contractors to assure proper documents are procured for new taps. Work closely with Area District Supervisors in regards to Large Tap Connections.
MOCAP, Inc. – Administrative Assistant (August 2008 to February 2009 Position was terminated)
Hired as administrative assistant/receptionist back up. Responsible for customer sample request correspondence from 6 sales people, price quotations and answering a phone with 18 incoming lines. Responsible for outgoing UPS and FEDEX online shipments.
Inland Paperboard & Packaging, Inc. – Receptionist; Freight Billing; Customer Service (August 1997 – May 2000)
Hired as receptionist and promoted to Freight Billing within a few months of being hired. Responsible for all incoming freight bills – paying and tracking. Promoted to Customer Service within a year. Responsibilities consisted of direct communications with customers, order entry and maintaining relationships with salesmen and customers. Worked closely with the designer. Also trained to help back up payroll.
Bondex International, Inc. – Customer Service Rep (April 1988 – May 1997)
Hired at entry level mailroom position, was promoted to Order Entry/Customer Service within two years. Responsible for all incoming orders and maintaining customer files. Promoted to Assistant to Vice President of Sales in 1995. Responsibilities were maintaining contact with all sales groups and buyers, creating proposals for potential customers, traveling to tradeshows and administrative duties for the Vice President of Sales.
