Biography

BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

Tom is currently a Commercial Real Estate Broker operating under TSD Realty, Inc.

Tom began his real estate career in 1983 in the Las Colinas market as a Project Leasing Manager with JPI, the developer of Las Colinas. Tom’s primary responsibility was the marketing and leasing of Williams Square, a 1.4 million square foot office project that serves as the “crown jewel” for the master planned 12,000 acre Las Colinas development. The JPI team, including Tom, marketed the entire Las Colinas development to lure corporate office tenants to the area. Today, Las Colinas is home to many Top 500 firms and is recognized as one of the top mixed used developments in the world. During Tom’s nine (9) years assigned to Williams Square, he was responsible for over 1,600,000 sf of new leases. Additional responsibilities included multiple garden projects along with mid-rise buildings developed and owned by JPI.

In 1992, after nine (9) years of representing Landlords, Tom set out on his own, forming TSD Realty, Inc., a Tenant Representation brokerage company. His knowledge from years of representing Landlords and how they make decisions ensured his tenant representation clients the best possible expertise, knowledge, strategies, service and results.

From 1998 until 2003, Tom was with two major real estate firms - Colliers International and Insignia/ESG which was acquired by CB Richard Ellis. During this time, Tom continued to represent tenants, lease office buildings and sold raw land. Tom joined BeerWells Real Estate Services, Inc. in 2003. Tom’s responsibilities included oversight of the Project Office Leasing of the BeerWells’ nine (9) building office portfolio (1,800,000 sf) and various tenant representation assignments. In 2006 Tom joined forces with GVA Cawley to continue his efforts in project leasing along with office/medical sales.

Tom was recruited and joined in the formation of Crown Sterling Properties in 2009 through 2019. His responsibilities included the leasing of The Princeton building (285,000 sf) and Briargrove Place (110,000sf), variety of Tenant Representation assignments, commercial and industrial building sales along with consultation assignments. Crown Sterling Properties’ two Principles are Robert Woolley, founder of Embassy Suites hotel chain, and the Garza family, a prominent family located in Monterrey, Mexico.

Tom currently has a land listing near Tyler, Tx, containing 274 acres of prime real estate, ideal for a major residential development.

BACKGROUND

Tom is a Dallas native and a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1975. Graduate of Highland Park high school in 1970. Participant: The Real Estate Council, North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, TREC, Texas Tech Letterman’s Football Association and St. Andrews Methodist church.
