Responsible for investigating and evaluating insurance claims of clients to find out the extent of damages and liability of the insurance company for property damages on homes, businesses, automobiles, and personal injuries and how much to be paid for settlement that would be fair to both sides.
Investigating and consulting with witnesses, reviewing previous claims history, reviewing policyholder’s insurance policy to determine what is covered and if the claim is covered in the policy, reviewing police reports and compiling evidence from various sources on behalf of insurance companies to determine liability.
Support legal staff/attorneys in case of contestation/subrogation issues.
Create reports detailing the events and damages related to the claim, establish diary logs and create claim history, identifies all potential exposures and creates initial reserves and make adjustments throughout the claim, following a set of general claim and statutory guidelines in assessing and investigating policy coverage, damages, and liability efficiently and effectively in a timely manner.
