I was Project Director in charge of complete $100+ million project, working for an absentee owner. We had 272 contracts that 202 were forced to give them up because of the real estate collapse in 2007! I had taken over a failing project from another CM who worked the project for 1 1/2 years and had 30 buildings started and none finished. I turned the project around and completed 20 buildings before the bank foreclosed. The bank lowered all of the appraisals, forcing buyers to come up with high down payments, causing the buyers to walk away.

In 2005, after the successful completion of the Colonnade, I was going to be Project Director on a 600 condo, a marina with a large club house, and 600 single family lots, in a development they called Avenell. Continental realized the real estate downturn, and canceled the project. They closed their South West office.
