As a Phlebotomist Technician I, my role is to obtain blood, urine, COVID routine/rapid swabs, culture swabs for all inmates that enter our laboratory. All specimens are needed to be processed, scanned into the EMR/ Orchid system and ready for the Quest courier to be picked up at the end of the day. Covering main lab (NCCF), relieving and covering other sites such as North and South facilities as needed. Obtaining requests from Physicians for lab results, critical results in a timely manner.

As a Phlebotomist Service Technician, we are responsible for entering all requisitions brought in from our patients, faxed in by the Physicians, or sent in electronically by the physicians who are contracted with Quest..
