Summary

Full Stack Development from frontend to Backend!

Full stack web developer with a passion for building web applications that help people with a burning problem with over 10 years of experience. Experienced with Angular, React, NextJS, JavaScript, Node, Express, PHP, SQL, and more. I love developing applications with beautiful UI/UX with NextJS and React, and perfect backend. Currently, I am working on applications built on React with state management using MobX, but eventually I'd love to be working with NextJS with GraphQL or even a REST API with React Query.

As an AWS certified expert, I build servers and DevOps.

I enjoy building strong relationships and working well with people at all levels of the organization including management, staff, and customers.

I believe that technology is the most effective when it empowers people to solve their true issues and problems. I am inspired by tech entrepreneurs who make it their life's mission to make other people's lives better through technology. This could be a big idea like going to Mars, or it could be a "minor" one like making the UX on a site more intuitive.

I have a strong focus on crafting accessible, user-friendly applications that provide tangible solutions for the user.

Upwork

Oct 2020 – Jan 2023 (2 years 2 months +)

I worked on many projects as Full Stack Developer on Upwork.

https://www.homeandharvest.com/

As a full-stack developer, I had the opportunity to work on the development of HomeAndHarvest, a web application built using Angular 7+, Node.js/Express, MongoDB, Golang, and QuickBlocks. This project allowed me to showcase my skills in both front-end and back-end development, and I gained valuable experience working with multiple technologies.

In the beginning, I worked closely with the design team to implement the user interface of the application using Angular. I wrote modular and reusable code that could easily be integrated with the back end and used responsive design principles to ensure that the application looked good on all devices.

Moving on to the back end, I worked with Node.js and Express to develop the server-side functionality of the application. This included implementing RESTful APIs, handling database operations, and ensuring data security through proper validation and authentication techniques. I utilized MongoDB as the primary database to store and manage user data and developed complex queries to efficiently retrieve the required data.

In addition to these technologies, I also worked with Golang to implement microservices, which helped improve the scalability and performance of the application. I used QuickBlocks to provide real-time updates and push notifications to the users, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Throughout the development process, I followed best practices in software engineering, such as writing clean and maintainable code, using version control tools like Git, and conducting thorough testing to catch bugs and errors.

My experience as a full-stack developer on HomeAndHarvest was challenging but rewarding. I gained valuable experience in a variety of technologies and honed my skills in both front-end and back-end development.

https://theguestbook.com/

As a full-stack developer, I had the opportunity to work with Guestbook, a property management software company, and assist them in improving their application architecture and development team.

One of the main challenges that Guestbook faced was integrating data from several property management systems into one fully-featured mobile and web application. Additionally, they aimed to provide a revenue stream for property managers by incorporating the sales of tickets for attractions and events at rental destinations.

To address these challenges, I replaced the existing development firm with a combination of onshore and offshore firms with strengths in various areas of software engineering. This allowed us to create a development team that was able to meet the goals of the organization.

One of the first steps we took was identifying which code was the better foundation and starting point. We then worked together to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that would allow us to test the application's functionality and ensure that it met the requirements of the property managers.

As we progressed with the development of the MVP, we faced various technical challenges. However, with my expertise in Ruby on Rails, Ruby, React, and Nginx, we were able to find efficient solutions to these challenges.

Through continuous collaboration and communication with the development team and the client, we were able to successfully complete the project, and Guestbook was later acquired by Bluetent.

Working as a full-stack developer with Guestbook was an exciting and challenging experience. It gave me the opportunity to work on a real-world application that provided value to property managers and improved their business operations.

As a full stack developer, I have gained extensive experience in building robust and efficient web applications. My journey started by learning the fundamentals of web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As I progressed in my career, I delved deeper into various web frameworks and libraries such as React, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Express.

At Autoseekr.com, I played a key role in building the website from scratch using Node.js, Express, React, jQuery, and Bootstrap. My primary responsibility was to ensure that the website was responsive, user-friendly, and easy to navigate. To achieve this, I relied on my knowledge of UI design principles and best practices.

One of the notable features of Autoseekr.com is its built-in test drive scheduling application. As the lead developer for this feature, I integrated various APIs to enable seamless scheduling and notification of test drive appointments. I also leveraged Heroku's platform-as-a-service (PaaS) to deploy and scale the application.

To ensure that the website runs smoothly, I used Cowboy and Express as the web servers. These servers are reliable and efficient, ensuring that users can access the website without any downtime. I also optimized the website's performance by minimizing load times, optimizing images, and using caching techniques.

My experience as a full stack developer has enabled me to build robust and user-friendly web applications that meet the needs of modern-day users. I have also gained extensive knowledge of various web technologies, allowing me to choose the best tools for any given project.

https://www.tandfonline.com/

As a software engineer, I was given the opportunity to work on the development of TandFOnline.com, a platform dedicated to exploring academic journals and articles by subject. It was an incredible experience that allowed me to hone my skills in various programming languages and frameworks. I worked with Java, J2EE, Struts, JSP, and React throughout the development process.

I was responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic, including the creation of robust and scalable web services. My deep understanding of Java and its associated technologies, along with best practices, allowed me to develop efficient solutions to tackle the challenges that arose during the project.

I used JSP to create dynamic web pages by embedding Java code within HTML templates. This enabled me to generate content and data from the server in a seamless manner, which significantly improved the overall user experience.

While Java technologies were predominantly used for server-side development, I opted to use Angular for our client-side rendering. Angular is a powerful JavaScript library that allowed us to build a fast and interactive user interface. I developed the front-end components using Angular, which involved breaking down the UI into reusable components, managing the application state, and handling user interactions.

Throughout the development of TandFOnline.com, I gained invaluable experience and further developed my expertise in Java, J2EE, JSP, and Angular.
