I am seeking to advance in my career by utilizing the knowledge and expertise from my 38 years of experience. I have been a Registered Nurse since 1985. I have had the opportunity to work in diverse areas that have helped me to become the critical thinker, think outside the box, and well-rounded experienced nurse that I am. I have successfully been in a management role most of my career. I enjoy leadership opportunities. I feel I am a fair and encouraging leader. I am a self-motivated manager with a successful track record who can work well with people, grasp, and expand on new ideas, tackle and follow through on difficult projects, and achieve company objectives. I am hands on when needed but can separate my duties as a manager and know when to discipline if necessary. I am very much a positive people person that looks for the good in others first. I believe in teamwork. I have been trained to deal with the low performers so the high performers will be retained. I have had training under the Studer culture when working in the hospital setting. I was the lead trainer in the hospital with the Studer culture. I hosted all new employee orientations when I was the Director of Education and Employee Health and taught the Studer culture in each orientation. I am very comfortable with teaching and public speaking. I enjoy seeing positive results when a culture is changed from the CEO down to the front-line staff.

My expertise is in the Emergency Department, trauma, Education and Employee Health, DON/Infection Control Preventionist in Skilled/Long Term Care, Wound care with pressure injury, venous, arterial, and diabetic ulcers, Covid-19, managed care, case management, and legal nurse consulting as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.

I am a good communicator, can multi-task with ease, and I am comfortable with public speaking. I am also a Certified Public Speaker/Mentor/Coach through Maxwell Leadership. I am a strong leader with integrity.
