Project Manager for the Upgrading of Hazmieh-Saoufar International Road…Section 3…..Bhamdoun-Lebanon

The Project involved a new design orientation of the International road with a Tunnel, pedestrian cross bridges, series of reinforced concrete retaining walls and needless to mention the construction one of the largest MSE Geo-grid walls in the region that passed the fourteen meters in height for a length close to three hundred meters and which probes and sustains one of the most trafficked international transport roads.

Project Manager for the Construction of The PS1 Waste Water Treatment Plant just off shore in the city of Beirut.

Duties reflected all assessments, provisions, site supervision and implementations related to the Quality Control and Assurance themes in the Construction of a three Hospitals Project (in Dΰzce, Boulu and Adapazari cities of Turkey).

Also occupied the same post in an assignment to the Mujib and Southern Ghores Irrigation Project–stage II in Jordan.

After which I was relocated to draw the close of stage I (under ground level works; secant piles and anchoring) transition works to/and completing the underground five basements construction of stage II in the Development of the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon just off shores at the Mediterranean Sea.

April 2005 I was relocated to be an essential member of the team assigned to perform the site detailing and supervision in the construction of the Roads Administration project – Improvement of Airport Road / Fifth Ring Road Interchanges & Fahaheel Expressway / Fourth Ring Road Interchanges in The State Of Kuwait, which included the construction of two new bridges in addition to a wide variety of Loops, Ramps and service roads all deemed to have been bounds supported by stabilized earth walls with complete infrastructure networks.

In February 2007 and upon successful completion of the Bridges/Roads project, I was allocated to the Special Forces Project in Kuwait as well. The project added variety of duties and responsibilities of specific provisions, particular efforts and approaches by nature and Engineering perspective; the first project of its type built and constructed on approximately two million cubic meters of strengthened landfill earth-substructure (Housing, water reservoirs, swimming pool, Sportive training facilities, Military training fields/shooting ranges, Roads, MSE stabilized earth walls, Infrastructure Networks of all sorts, Civil and Agriculture Landscaping) Etc…

Needless to emphasize that each of these projects comprised a wide range of works in; Civil, Geotechnical Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and Landscaping Engineering with all entailed researches related to material investigations and /prescriptions, methods of executing the design scopes of works and all in accordance and compliance with the appropriate relevant standard norms and projects specifications.

Dar Al-Handassa/Estephan Co. For Contracting and Trading – Tripoli – Lebanon

Materials and Quality Control Engineer

The first year pilot program (Tripoli – Seer) consists of the Re-habilitation and strengthening of about 42 km of international, primary and secondary roads going from sea level endearing through the North Mount regions of Lebanon.

Duties and responsibilities comprised of a complete and exclusive control and supervision of the laboratory testing to include all physical testing according to ASTM and BS standards, reporting, interpretations of test results and all concrete and asphalt mix designs with their respective imposed adjustments upon any captured variations in the quality of yielded productivity (and/or soundness of materials used for productions) at the concrete and asphalt batch plants. In addition to that; the full responsibility for supervision, structuring and implementation the methods of execution and stages of application as linked to quality and site preparations guidance from:

Formworks erection, fixation of steel reinforcements and concrete placement all related assurances and implementation of the necessary schemes at site, materials examinations, testing and curing methods which also holds true for asphalt paving associated apprehensions and concerns as such as materials selection, mix design, batching plant operation, placing, finishing and testing.

Construction of Saida Municiplality Stadium:

Site lab and Quality Control/Assurance Engineer in the construction of a massive reinforced concrete stadium that seats about 25000 people which was for seen to be founded and built over a shallow sea water level imposing partial reduction of the shore, solid earth structuring works under full water containment conditions, a variety of concrete mix designs deployment and utilizations to accommodate for the degrees of steel congestion and strength requirements in the different structural members to each category accordingly.

Construction of the Lebanese University Campus in Hadath, Beirut:

Site lab and quality control/Assurance Engineer in the construction of the Lebanese University Unified Campus that comprises of the construction of thirteen buildings encompassing all pro-study schools, parking lots above and underground provisions, students dormitory buildings and infra-structure networks.

Naameh Buildings Assessment:

Encompassing integrated concrete, steel reinforcement, and soil studies to evaluate the status of 16 buildings in order to assess the prospect to remedy and reinforce these existing structures after the incident collapse to two buildings.

The project involved the construction of the Nabatieh entrance Boulevard which required the supervision to stabilize a very fluffy clayey soil (A-7 Classification), the construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls, complete infrastructure renovations, sub-base and base course layers and topped with two layers of asphalt.
