Assistant Director of Human Resources (7/1/22-current)

Promoted to new title and added duties tasked with the restructuring of the Human Resources Office for an organization of over four hundred employees. Created and implemented SMART Goals for the HR office increasing efficiency and increasing work processed by staff by 30%. Improved our department rating to achieve a 98% “positive-above-average rating” of polled exiting staff on satisfaction with our onboarding processes, training, employee materials and support by the HR office.

Create and manage civil service job duties statements for our organization including processing of paperwork, verifying requirements, and hiring of the bulk of our workforce. Review and completion of all loan applications for our staff members. Proof and approve human resource generalists’ workflow assignments. Verify, enter, and review all certification requirements for teaching staff including initiative-taking notification to staff and administrators on soon to be expiring certification or certification issues. Executive Assistant to the District Superintendent/Human Resources Generalist (12/23/13-6/30/22)

Received promotion to and added duties to position. Increased efficiency of this position and incorporated 20% of tasks previously performed by other staff into this position.

Working for the District Superintendent, I was responsible to schedule all appointments, manage travel arrangements, return all phone calls with proper resolution, process confidential mail, type BOCES correspondence to all staff and NYSED, manage attendance, mileage, and expense reporting for the District Superintendent.

Part of my human resources duties are the review and maintenance of certifications and license information for staff, including correspondence with staff on reporting requirements. Perform liaison duties between BOCES and Fulton County Personnel Office related to civil service/county held titles. This includes creating duties statements, review of civil service applications for qualifications of applicants. Create all documents sent to the personnel office for civil service staff members (over two hundred employees). Adjust time and seniority for all staff. Process board minutes for accuracy to employee management system. Review retirement details with existing staff including verification of retirement benefits with NYSTRS and NYSERS. Other executive assistant duties: Creations of the Supervisory District School Calendars (15 school districts), create the BOCES Superintendent Leadership Team calendars and agendas as well as schedule guest speakers/presenters for meetings and I am responsible to attend meeting, take notes and distribute them to the Superintendents within our region. I also schedule travel for region-wide meetings, including processing of expense reports for all attendees.
