SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Look after & update all kinds of survey

matters including the flag, classification

societies, P&I, PSC, etc.

• Crew recruitment includes interviews of all

levels of officers & ratings.

• Provide training to the staff on safety

(firefighting & lifesaving) and environment

programs and executing operations as per

set environmental stipulations.

• Prepare oil tankers for STS operation in UAE

water and to implement rules & regulation

of DMCA, (for DMCA approved vessels).

• Conduct work site inspection, safety audits

and workers pursuant to the Health &

Safety Act and regulations to ensure

compliance.

• Responsible for implementing vessel

operations manual standard operating

procedures, crew competency assessments

and contingency plans, and oversee all deck

& engine department personal safety.

• Being a DPA (Designated Person Ashore)

auditing internal audits of the vessels

regularly for correctively implement HSE

policy onboard the vessel and in

company as well.

• As a CSO (Company Safety Officer)

responsible for ship safety & security

inspections, commercial vessel

inspection, pollution prevention, and to

ensure implements international Ship &

Port Security Codes (ISPS) of the

transportation industries meets all the

requirements.

preventive maintenance program for all

company owned vessels.

vessel personnel understand and

Organize surveyors to keep the vessel readiness and to deal with charters, implement HSE policy onboard the vessel and in organization. In addition of above shore experience in UAE, also sailed as Master in Different Multinational Companies in tankers, bulk carriers, & in general cargo vessels. 3
