I believe that every school should strive to provide and inclusive education that allows every student to reach their full potential. As an educational leader I believe that this takes nurturing relationships with the students, staff, parents and the wider school community. When you value the relationships between all stakeholders you can provide dynamic curriculum that provides children to develop agency and to be at the centre of their learning. The world is changing at a very rapid pace. It is challenging to prepare students for technology advancements and globalisation. With this in mind, a schools curriculum should be flexible to best meet the needs of all learners. I believe that the best way to look to the future is to provide a challenging programme for all learners that is based on collaboration and critical problem solving. Ensuring that students have the skills and approaches to learning that will prepare them for for the problems of the future. I believe that people learn best when they are engaged and challenged with real life authentic learning experiences. This learning needs to be differentiated, taking into all perspectives that put them into their Zone of Approximate Development. This means that all learners are challenged and provided the ability to be successful. My leadership style is to use the talents of all members of the learning community. I feel that it is important for my staff to feel valued and that they are empowered to take risks. We will celebrate our success and be reflective and learn from our mistakes. A community of collaboration is essential to the ethos of a school. I also believe that assessment needs to be at the centre of any strong curriculum. This is the best way to ensure that all learners are making significant progress.

As a leader in education you must be a life long learner. I have worked rigorously at improving my leadership style over my 20 years in education whether as a PYP Trainer and school curriculum leader or taking my masters in Educational Leadership. I understand that the first step as a leader of your school is to build positive relationships that will be focused on learning and teaching and setting a strategic plan that should always be co constructed with students at the centre of all decisions made.

In conclusion, I consider it a blessing to have the privilege to have an impact on students lives on a daily basis. With my experience of working in the best schools in South East Asia and leaving a lasting legacy of improving standards in both curriculum leadership and pastoral. I am certain that I would make a valuable colleague for your already successful learning community. I look forward to further discussions to answer any questions you will likely have. Kind Regards,

Chris Angelosante
