MN Dept. of Education
June, 1999-December, 2006
I began my state career as an OAS. Within 10 months of my hire date, I was reallocated to an OAS, Senior and Lead worker for the Division of Monitoring and Compliance.
I provided admin support for Special Education Due Process Hearings and Maltreatment of Minors. I also provided direct support to the Division Director.
In my support role, I had a major part in creating the database, form letters and other templates for the Maltreatment program. In my support capacity, I took intake calls for Maltreatment which included notifying Law Enforcement, the educational facility and the parents of the alleged victims.
Prior to my tenure with the state, I was the supervisor of the Research and Development team for Fulfillment Systems, Inc. a mail rebate company. Here, I worked to streamline processes in order to save company dollars while still ensuring clients timelines and budgets were on track. By combining processes and eliminating unnecessary steps, we were able to save money and improve the time in which it took for a customer to receive their items or rebate dollars.
