Homeroom teacher: Grade 4
Strand Private Academy 17 January 2023-current
I am currently responsible for teaching English, Math, Science, and Life skills as a grade 4 Homeroom teacher. My responsibilities include:
• Creating and conducting student centred lessons: Using national standards as a guide I create lessons that are tailored to the unique needs of my students.
• Classroom management: Using dynamic strategies that are designed for my class I implement strategies that include a set of classroom rules and incentivize this by using a star chart.
Student teacher: Grade 8-12 19 July- 9 September 2022 Fairbairn College
At this institution, I completed 3 months of practical teacher training, I taught English Home language for Grade 9, Grade 11 and Grade12. I also taught Life Orientation for Grade 8 and Grade 10. During this period my responsibilities in the classroom included:
• Creating and conducting lessons: Adept at creating child centred meaningful Guided by the CAPS curriculum that meets all education standards and requirements.
• Collaborating with different parties: Collaborating with staff in the English department to produce tasks to increase student learning and skills such as summative assessments for Grade 10-12 literature and vocabulary intervention for grades 8 and 9, timely and effectively.
• Extracurricular management: I was also part of a team that managed backstage organization of the annual school play, apart of the decorating and organization committee for the Grade 12 matric ball of 2022 and the prefect camp. School programme experience : KG1 Teaching assistant September 2015-January 2016 Al Ain English Speaking School
At this institution I assisted my KG1 mentor 3 times a week for a semester during my AS level year. Key responsibilities include:
• classroom management, such as maintaining discipline as well as providing support for learners whilst they completed tasks outlined by their teacher by interacting with them dynamically and provided individual specialized help by redefining or reframing the tasks for better understanding.

• Observing the teacher and gaining experience by being in a classroom environment and engaging in tasks outlined by her. These often included conducting lessons I collaborated with her on.
