● Shadowed a senior social worker on client’s assessment and annual meetings to check on the progresses of the clients and helping them form new goals to work on.

● Displaying positive attitude towards students and community members who come to the library every day.

● Providing services to students, staff, and community members in terms of pointing them in the right direction about where to locate the books they want, checking out the books for them, checking out rooms for them, providing directions inside the library and answering all questions related to library.

● Collaborating with my team to craft application forms, interview questions and nominating potential speakers.

● Interviewing the potential speakers and selecting the best idea out of all nominees.

● Coaching the selected speakers after the interview to make sure that they craft their speech according to the TEDx guidelines, values, and principles.

● Checking all speakers’ ideas, make sure they rehearsed enough, and are ready for the talk.

● Connecting with the speakers emotionally to make sure that they feel worthy, seen, and respected so that they can deliver the best speeches.

Residential Counselor June 2022 – August 15, 2022

YMCA Camp Pepin, Stockholm WI

● Planned, taught, coordinated, and carried out activities and guided campers in their personal growth and daily living through directing and supervising campers in their daily bases at camp.

● Applied basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, involvement, and empowerment of youth.

● Collaborated with my co-staff to establish an inclusive environment which demonstrated an appreciation for differences and diversity to make sure that every camper felt loved, seen, and included in every activity at the camp.

● Fostered and established a close relationship with campers through organizing and getting involved in their activities to make sure that the campers felt safe to come and get help from me whenever needed.

● Organized and facilitated activities inside the cabins that helped campers feel connected to each other and form friendship so that they could learn from each other and not feel left out.

● Presented a talk every week about my country in front of the kids so that they could have a sense of different culture and an understanding of what is out there in the world.
