Achieved the upper 1/10th of the 1st percentile in the U.S. Recruited, Trained, Developed New Business for a team of up to 500 people. Awarded multiple cars and world-wide trips to Hong Kong, Italy, the Swiss Alps. We were divided into two planes, so if one plane went down, then half the field would survive to carry on for the company. We helped plan the next year’s strategy for success.
I had the great privilege to serve Mary Kay Ash – the only woman written up by Forbes as one of the top 20 people in changing the

I was so excited by the invention of the internet - I couldn’t wait to see how it worked for business development! My office asst. ran my MK business. I assigned one cell phone to my asst. and one phone to VZ to prospective and new clients. My desk phone at work in
Everett, WA for VZ took general calls beyond that. After work I would check-in w my office asst.
VZ provided great training in electronic theory and practice in marketing. I ran with my training and took #1 for the division all four quarters and for the year. During that year 9/11 happened. The Bellevue area of Seattle - the highest volume of sales for VZ in Seattle - 29% of all office space was empty. Sales for VZ plummeted. I saw the opportunity to
develop new business. By the time I quit, I had developed more new business than the other 56 people in the medium to large account division combined. I had to outsell all the accounts who quit from the year before (which I hadn’t sold) to get to
“0” before any of my new sales counted
