A school-based support employee is responsible for duties and responsibilities related to managing special education caseloads. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job successfully. Duties and Responsibilities:

Stay within your scope of practice, experience, or training supervision.

Communicate with co-workers and parents in a professional manner.

Maintains professional behavior during conflict situations.

Computer Skills: proficient typing skills, knowledge of Google Suites Programs (e.g., Google

Calendar, Google, Docs, and Google Spreadsheet), and an aptitude for learning new computer

software.

Manage School Psychologist’s digital caseload: track various tasks and deadlines for special

education evaluations and meetings on a shared spreadsheet. Create and organize folders on a

shared drive.

Scheduling: coordinate with pertinent party members to schedule meetings and testing. Email

Google Calendar meeting invites. Provide reminders.

Data Collection: coordinate with schools to collect student background history. Send out digital

rating scales to parents and teachers. Follow-up with individuals when requests have not been

returned.

Travel to school or the main office as needed.

Psychometrician: duties may or may not include in-person observations of students as needed
