• Created a Power BI dashboard to help NJ DOH monitor and rank data integrity performance across hospitals and for individual hospitals to identify their areas of opportunity for improvements. The report tracks manually entered patient’s data from hospitals and identify data quality issues. Used features such as drill-through and measures to explain data gaps. Implemented row-level security to preserve the HIPAA Privacy Rule for Health information. This report was included in the onboarding package for new hospitals into the Health Network System.

• Improved the existing Power BI reports to accurately reflect DOH’s new requirements for assisted living and long-term care facilities in NJ by adding and adjusting the key measures.

• Created multiple SQL views to retrieve data from AWS Rhapsody. The queries tracked number of days since the last message from facilities for CCD and ADT and flag the records where the latest events occurred over 80 days ago. Used window functions such as LAG to identify previous messages.

Business Analyst, New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) Apr 2021 – Dec 2021

• Filled the gap as an interim project manager and oversaw three large projects with a combined 50M budgeted. Led meetings with project stakeholders to meet client onboarding target and timeline. Ensured team members adhere to their weekly responsibilities. This resulted in seamless fulfilment for all three projects.

• Created business requirements on loading patient data via API. Found online resources describing how similar APIs were implemented in other states. Explored the technical specifications of each implementation and compiled a list of strengths and weaknesses of the implementations. Presented the specifications and analysis at stakeholder meeting to help solutions architects and development teams.

• Thorough understanding of the quarterly portfolio tracker reports and how the data is generated. Maintained periodic updates across all projects. Gathered and reviewed input from senior stakeholders and ensured updates were reported in an effective and consistent format.

• Identified opportunities for automation. Automated an Excel dashboard that summarizes invoices that are still outstanding using VBA. The code imported dozens of invoices received over the quarter and allocated those invoices to project budget categories. This file shortened a task that took several hours to under 10 minutes.
