RELATED EXPERIENCE

Process Engineer / Business Analyst (USAA – Home Office, TX) July2019-Present

Applies advanced knowledge of the business and process engineering disciple using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify risks/ impacts/ opportunities in Business Process Management (BPM) documentation and Process Improvement (Pl) projects.

Established and restructured new and existing policies, processes, and procedures.

Used Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) tool for creating process map, in order to holistically assess business processes and determine opportunities for improvement.

Kept meticulous documentation on business processes and gathered data into reports for dissemination to stakeholders.

Organized, lead, and facilitated cross-entity, major Line-Of-Business (LOB) or multi-LOB/ group and analyzed EPC Diagram to redesign initiatives that encompass E2E analysis and future state process using Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement tools to optimize the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the process.

Proven ability to translate complex and highly manual processes into easily understandable process models, resulting in improved efficiency and productivity for efficient improvements while ensuring documentation meets enterprise standards and compliance with internal guidelines.

Extensive experience in Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) within the financial industry, utilizing a systematic approach to identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational risks. Successful in implementing effective risk management strategies to minimize risk exposure and maintain regulatory compliance

Uses problem solving methodologies (i.e. RCA, 5-why, fish-bone diagrams, VSM, Kaizen, Kanban, JIRA, etc) to assess and create improvement plans, focused on fixing issues at the source, analyzes processes to identify areas of improvement, root cause analysis, and provide appropriate analytics to facilitate business effort prioritization

Manufacturing Engineer P.M. Tools & Components May2016 – Jan2017

Implemented Value Map Streaming to understand the process flow thereby reducing the machining time of assigned OEM [TOYOTA Seat Base & Stop Door Window] by 12.5% and thus increasing machining efficiency by 6.5%.

Performed 5S analysis for effective workspace utilization thus reducing material wastage by 1.7%.

Developed RACI matrices and provided workshop with required manufacturing processes and methods for carrying out operation of the job economically and within minimum time.

Performed Risk Assessment to analyze the impact and avoid it accordingly on the overall Business of the Organization.

Production Engineer Axis Profiles Aug 2015–May 2016

Fabricated stick boom, center frame and revolving frame for Excavator models, PC200, PC350 and manufactured precision components, control tubes & shaft eccentricity, for Bosch & Heidelberg.

Managed daily manufacturing operations establishing reliable assembly methods and process flow.

Inspected and maintained quality through regular assessment of parts quality records, and troubleshooted abnormalities occurred on the assembly line or within the parts.

Created & Maintained Process Routers & BOM’s within the ERP system to meet Quality, Cost, and all Customer Specifications & Requirements.

Automobile Intern Maruthi Suzuki Pvt Ltt. Feb2017 - May2017

Identified car servicing related problems and implemented the required actions to meet customer needs.

Ensured the quality service is provided by monitoring and training service line workers.

Ideated and implemented the solution to reduce the general servicing time of each car by 31.7%.

Utilized 4M, 5W analysis to tackle down the servicing problems.

Alleviated 20% physical stress and injury thereby improving tooling and ergonomics.

ENGINEERING PROJECTS

USF IMSE Online Course Experience Improvement March 2019

Improved USF-IMSE department online course delivery program by Implementing a lean six sigma tool - DMAIC(Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control).

Installed Interactive Mic – “Catch box” to improve audio quality thereby enhancing the student- professor interaction medium.

Used browser automation program, Selenium automation, to eliminate human error and reduce online class setup time by 62.5%.

Ideated IMSE dept for equipping classes with devices like Wacom-pad, touchscreen monitors and tablets.

Ultrafine-Grained Structure Development of Aluminium 6061 processed by Constrained Groove Pressing (CGP) – Cross-route as a Severe Plastic Deformation process (SPD) [Publications] May 2016

Implemented SPD by CGP of Aluminium 6061 to produce ultra-fine grain structure.

Successful completion of the experiment resulted in increased grain size of Al 6061 which in turn enhanced the strength of the material.

Work piece tends to fail at higher strain rate of 2/s. Thus, by trial-and-error method we derived that Al 6061 sheet was steady by keeping the strain rate as low as 0.01/s.

Bio-Composite Helmet Design Jan 2016

Using Material Selection Charts designed a bio-composite helmet from natural fibers, reinforcing it with epoxy resin by simple wet hand lay-up technique which can used in any automobile application.

The designed Product optimized the volume fraction of natural fibers as reinforcements by achieving enhanced mechanical properties of helmet as like other conventional helmet materials.

End result of Project reduced the production cost of each helmet by 53%.
