Placement/modeling of datum clamps and pins in accordance with customer supplied Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

Jan 2022 - May 2022: Lincoln Electric/Baker Industries (Shelby Twp, MI) Automotive Fixture Design

Design of fixtures for checking GD&T data points on automotive components via surface developed solid models of automotive product data using the most current version of NX (aka Unigraphics).

Apr 2018- Jan 2022: Continuing education at Macomb Community College (Classes in UG/NX & Product Design). Freelance Work including Elder care, in-home fitness training and tutoring of design/engineering students at Macomb CC and Lawrence Tech University.

Redesign of auto body tooling (end effectors & resting bucks) esp. in the placement of part-present sensors.

Formerly known as "GM Powertrain". UGNX9 Effected modeling/design changes for engine hardware components for the Turbocharging, Fuel Delivery, Air Intake & Exhaust Group for Gasoline & Diesel engines along with any associated detail drawings. UG to VisMockUp Importation for clearances.

Dec 2013 - Sep 2014: Waltonen Engineering Inc. (Warren, MI) UGNX8 Tooling Detail & Layout Design

Creating and modifying tooling drawings & associated solid tool bodies for Auto Body Construction in both prototype and production. Creation/revision of "kit sheets" for revised tool assembly.

Mar 2012 - Aug 2013: Utica Enterprises Inc. (Utica, MI) UG Layout. UG NX 7.5 & 8.0 Creating and modifying tooling drawings & editing associated solid bodies in end effectors and gantry systems for Auto Body Construction. 2D to 3D modeling welding guns for parasolid exportation. Creation/revision of “kit sheets" for revised tooling assembly.

Nov 2011 - March 2012: Roush Technical (Allen Park, MI) Product Designer Contracted through Peak Technical. Modifying solid models and drawings and created exploded installation drawings for NaviStar Loadstar project (fuel tank, doors & chassis) using UG NX6. Data management through Team Center.

Dec 2010 - June 2011: EDAG (Auburn Hills, MI) /Contracted through Renaissance. UGNX6

Sr. Product Designer. Body, chassis & closures sheet metal design, wire harness design and revision for NaviStar/Tatra Special Military Vehicle Project for Armed Forces Canada for both prototype and production. ITAR trained & compliant. Our team completed project 6 months ahead of schedule.

Feb 2005 – Jan 2009: CDI Engineering Solutions/TK Engineering (Springdale, OH). Unigraphics NX 1, 2 & 4. Design, Revision & Drafting of support equipment & non-engine instrumentation for General Electric Aircraft engines; Incorporation of Electronic Change in Design documents on UG models and drawings & creation/issuance of flat pattern and lead wire routing and design details in accordance with GE work release orders & Export Control Processes that govern engine hardware.

Primary engine lines: GP7000 series (Airbus A380 platform) and the GENx (Boeing 787, 747-8 & Airbus A350) and military equivalent versions.

Jan 2003 – Feb 2005: Contract employee, non-design work at Detroit Edison.

May 1998 – June 2002: Hawtal Whiting Inc. /Rapid Design Services working for General Motors Engineering. Assignments included detailing, processing, and DAP/gross assembly file management on GM 367 under-body& chassis using Unigraphics for both prototype and production. Updating assembly file with current data, tolerance/interference verification, design modifications and revisions on various GM Mid Lux platforms in doors and body(chassis) structures. Trained in GM’s Information Manager (IMAN) System.
