Intranet Application Consultant – Global Comparative Agent Database (GCAD), Clinical Image Forecast Tracking System (PTRAC)

Clinical Supply Forecast application uses, as an input, clinical study forecast information gathered from clinical project teams to build a list projected clinical studies and related clinical supply campaigns. The system allows users to input study information on the protocol level and link drug product manufacturing and packaging information to these jobs. The system has a set of stored procedures that are run on a per protocol basis that calculate the cost of manufacturing and packaging cost for the supplies produced for a given protocol.

Comparison of new chemical entities to currently approved drug therapies in a manner that hides the identity of the drug therapies from both the patient and the physician administering the therapy is a fundamental step in drug product assessment. To blind the identity of the approved drug, it is necessary to develop a blinding method that does not impact the performance of the approved drug. Development of the blinding method is both time consuming and expensive so it is not an activity that should be repeated unnecessarily. The Global Comparative Agent Database (GCAD) was developed to store information on about qualified comparative agent blinding methods and make that information available to Pfizer sites throughout the world.
