Aluminum Foam is anew technology and few in the world are involved in this type of material which Qatar is among them. The factory in Qatar is depends on the South Korean Technology. Aluminum Foam has wide range of uses but not limited to sound absorption and sound reduction, explosives and bullets resistance and obstructing heat transfer flow.

Leading a team of (72) Operators & Process Specialists. 1. Plotline process control activities like pot line thermal control-AlF3, bath temperature, bath and metal height, AE frequency control, pot line voltage control. 2. Responsible for raw material estimation and calculation of pot line weekly and monthly reports 3. Manage metal reconciliation between cast house and pot lines on a daily basis. 4. Responsible for the metal management between cast house and reduction. 5. Responsible to ensure that the pot line process control system- Level 1 and Level 2 functions as per specifications.

6. Analysis of pot line process control data for suggesting suitable corrective actions. 7. Leader of pot line process control team for measurement of process control parameters like bath temperature, voltage drops, elevation for heel metal accounting, bath and metal sampling. 8. 8-Reduction coordinator for the implementation of manufacturing execution system and key user for Reduction-Manufacturing execution system. 9. Ensuring adherence of quality operation jobs (according to SOP) and carried out smoother pot operations like Anode Change, Metal Tapping, Beam Raising, Process Control, Pot Controller Operation and Pot Controller Parameter Setting according to the process needs. 10. 10-Proper commissioning of pots & proper handover from project department to operation department.

11. Monitoring and analysis of daily, weekly and monthly production performance and quality control reports of Pot room.

5. Facilitated commencement of new pots that were previously halted as part of the smelter’s life schedule.

Pots metal-bath height measurement, metal tapping recommendation, bath correction, setting alumina feeding rate, Electrolysis SCADA system monitoring, Pot analysis, voltage setting, AlF3 setting, Resistance Control setting, Bath Temperature setting, Metal/bath analysis, anode change/setting audit, process analysis, under feed/overfeed analysis, anode effect analysis, anode covering quality and audit.

32. Ensuring the stabilization of abnormal pots, sick pots, startup pots and new pots. Pot stabilization during voltage shake, after power outage, low current operation, Red shell treatment, manual ledge formation, handling noisy pots, reducing anode effects, voltage fluctuation, noise, treatment of long underfeeding & long overfeeding pots, mushroom detection.
