Load, transport, and unload supplies, furniture, equipment and mail.

Transport personnel via government and/or commercial vehicles. Motor vehicles utilized by the operators include trucks (GVW 26,000 lbs. to 32,000 lbs.), station wagons, vans and sedans.

Assign runs based on the nature of the request, availability of drivers, and whether or not the need for transportation is urgent.

As directed by the Unit Supervisor, prepare or ensure that clerical personnel prepare necessary records and reports in a timely fashion.

Follow specified vehicle maintenance schedules.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Branch personnel through the Division where delivery and pick-ups are made.

Occasion when a Forklift Operator is unavailable, operate a forklift truck to load or unload a truck.

Provides general instructions to the laborer when loading unloading and delivery.

Operate two-way radio when receiving assignments from or reporting the status of assignments to the dispatcher, and coordinating work operations with other drivers or warehouse personnel.
