Skills and Abilities

SALES

COMMUNICATION

All of my years working in Customer Service, I have had the privilege of talking one on one with many customers, as well as my employers, to better the service that I am capable of doing. I am quick on the keyboard, and patient and polite with customers. I do prefer to be as perfectionist as I can, and I have conveyed with management about possible opportunities to streamline operations, without sacrificing quality.

LEADERSHIP

I was in training to become a Bakery Manager in California before I moved. Also, I stood in as acting interim manager while mine was on vacation or ill. I had taken several months to train my replacement before searching for a new employer, as well. As a clerk for a hotel company, I was also in charge of leading a team of employees, and training my replacement before I moved away.

TECHNOLOGY

I've been in charge of using and maintaining software systems of varying types for my disabled parent's company for nearly 2 decades.

Experience

HOTEL MANAGEMENT HOTEL MACRAE 7-1-1995 TO CURRENT (SEASONAL)

For the most part, this position was to help my family build and maintain their hotel on Catalina Island, and run the day to day operations while my aunt, who owned the hotel, was away. I took phone calls, and made reservations, while maintaining the grounds, housekeeping, and keeping all paperwork organized for taxes. I have had to work with stressed, or even angry, customers, and did my very best to leave them satisfied with their experience with myself and the company.

OFFICE MANAGER AWESOME WATER TRUCK COMPANY 7-1-18 TO CURRENT (SEASONAL)

For the most part, this position was to help my family build and maintain their new farm in Arizona, especially after my father lost his leg in a trucking accident and could not maintain the farm or water truck business at the time. I took phone calls, and dispatched the truck driver to jobs, while maintaining records on said jobs, and keeping all paperwork organized for taxes. I have had to work with stressed, or even angry, customers, and did my very best to leave them satisfied with their experience with myself and the company.

PERSONAL TECHNOLOGY EXPERT 3-1-16 TO 6-30-18

During my family's slow season, I took up a part time job working from home, remote controlling into customer's equipment all over the country to fix their PC's, smart phones, smart TV's, fax machines, and a number of other items. On numerous occasions, I had to keep a clear mind with frustrated or angry customers, and verbally walk them through steps to allow me to help them better. On my reviews, I consistently had comments from my supervisors that I was gentle and understanding with our clients.

JOURNEYMAN BAKER/CAKE DECORATOR CAL POLY UNIVERSITY 6-24-13 TO 2-1-16

I was in charge of catering menus, decorating cakes for orders placed through catering, as well as special events, such as fund raisers, college events, and Presidential dinners. My most memorable experience with this step in my career was creating a hand-made carrot cake for Willy Nelson, when he performed in the auditorium. I was then given a letter of appreciation from the artists for the cake.

JOURNEYMAN BAKER/CAKE DECORATOR VONS 4-22-05 TO 6-20-13

Here, I was given the beginnings of my customer service training. We were a high production company, baking hundreds of loaves of bread, and many dozens of varieties of cakes per day. The demand was high, and I thrived in that environment. That is why I was put into Manager Training. I made all of the products that they already carried, while creating new recipes and decorations for corporate to implement into other stores and districts. I was given many reviews over my years there, and all of them showed that I worked with our customers fantastically.
