SOFTWARE ENGINEER - CONTRACT, BANK OF AMERICA Sept 2021 – Mar 2023

• Call Authentication. Retrieves metadata from a customers’ phone call to the bank and converts it to a URL-Encoded JSON and sends that to a third party vendor to validate the trustworthiness of the call, while regularly communicating back and forth with the architect, third party vendor representative, and business person of the project.

• Developed an API to record user’s consent for new up-to-date terms and conditions and stores the data into a DB. Used J-easy and Oracle.

• Worked on several defects pre-production by creating SOAP-UI tests to identify underlying issues and coming up with a solution, searching Splunk logs, and making Java code changes. This includes fixing a SEV1 defect, the highest severity rated defect.

• Developed apis that does encryption/decryption for ciphertext using AES/RSA/DES Algorithm and Bouncy Castle provider.

• React web application service dodge app https://github.com/chriszhu2/ DogeService that extracts faces from user-uploaded photos and identifies human emotions. Depending on the detected emotion, the app will display a dog with various uplifting responses. Contains a front end which exports user-uploaded photos by utilizing HTTP request, allowing Microsoft Azure Face API to identify human emotions. And a back-end which fetches content from Mongo DB to display digital dog services on doge board.
