• Developed communications plan for the Institute for New Americans, a nonprofit organization helping refugees and immigrants adjust to life in this country; served as project manager and lead writer for INA’s FY 2000 annual report.

• Provided brochure copy for such clients as Sentryl Software, Medtronic, MultiLogic, Public Radio International, MicroVoice Applications, ITVS, Honeywell, Cross Pointe Paper Co., Blackstone Associates, and the Minnesota Cooperation Office (MCO).

• Wrote speech, shot photos, designed overheads, and coached senior Andersen engineer on presentation to a new technology review board; project approved.

Reporting to the CEO, directed all facets of VeloBind's Corporate Communications program. Managed investor relations, including annual and quarterly reports, shareholder publications and meetings, and presentations to investment community; wrote executive speeches; directed national advertising (media planning, buying, creative production, and analysis); handled public relations programs with financial and trade press; and supervised marketing communications.

• Planned, managed, and performed consistently under average annual budgets of $500,000+.

• Created investor relations program, including CEO's annual speeches to shareholders, which dramatically improved the design and content of investor communications (VeloBind was listed on the NASDAQ Exchange).

• Counteracted a sales slump and helped to raise stock price 48% by developing CEO and CFO presentations to brokers and analysts, and coaching executives on delivery.

• Saved $150K over four years by developing corporate advertising strategies, directing agencies' efforts, and negotiating favorable media space rates.

• Developed and implemented innovative corporate relations campaign, without the benefit of outside public relations advice or services, that resulted in press coverage in more than 30 national publications.

• Increased revenues in the desktop publishing channel 63% during 1988, 35% in 1989, and 42%
