Director Patient Access (January 2021 – Present)

As part of the Revenue Cycle Leadership Team, responsible for Patient Access Operations for health system.

In collaboration with Revenue Cycle Epic Education Team and other leaders, developed Revenue Cycle University education & training for all centralized and decentralized registration staff to ensure competency for the organization.

Centralized Patient Access teams include ED Triage/Admitting, Outpatient Scheduling, Call Center, Benefits & Authorizations and Outpatient Department. Indirect Access is equivalent to more than 300 FTEs across the organization (Ambulatory, Hospital-Based, and LTC). Partner with OD&L for organizational accountability with annual RCU/Access competency and training.

Collaborate with leaders across the organization to improve communication, processes, evaluate KPIs and influence change. Implemented KPIs for Call Center, Scheduling and Authorization teams.

Implemented EKRAN software with Information Security Team to improve productivity, measure performance and improve access to care.

Created a financial clearance role and policy for surgeries/procedures which has resulted in increased communication; decreased overall HB denials 25% YTD from 2021-2022 and auth related denials decreased by 10%.

Regional Practice Manager (December 2018 – January 2021)

Responsible for regional operations and strategic initiatives for RMG with oversight of primary care, multiple specialties, immediate care, oncology/infusion, and diagnostic services.

Directly oversaw a $15M+ annual budget while concurrently leading a 20-member clinical and administrative team.

Responsible for all performance management, quality and growth initiatives, including new service line development, change management, and strategic planning and execution.

Developed numerous best practice programs that transformed operations, boosted efficiency and impact, and streamlined internal processes, thereby increasing productivity and employee morale, among other deliverables.
