The plant has changed ownership several times, most recently acquired by Wisconsin-based Quad, resulting in restructuring and division consolidation and closures throughout the company, impacting me and many others. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

• Diagnose problems, modify, adjust, repair, calibrate, rebuild, service and maintain both electrical and mechanical production machines and equipment, in such a manner that safety and production continuity is maintained with minimum interruption and the operating life of machines and equipment is fully extended.

• Obtain procedural guidelines from blueprints, sketches, manufacturer’s specifications, and technical manuals. Read and interpret schematics including European schematics.

• Fabricate all metal work including safety guards, catwalks, handles, railings, and any other fabrication needed to ensure safety.

• Participate in major machine installations, removals, and upgrades. MARK WATERS

• Check and change PLC / computer-driven machinery. Repair and replace gearboxes, drive trains, bearings, shafts, rollers, chain belts, and clutches. Sharpen machine blades.

• Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules, conduct monthly production equipment evaluations, and document to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.

• Provide a broad range of mechanical skills including HVAC, Carpentry, Plumbing, Welding, Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Layout skills.

• Communicate, cooperate, and support operators, supervisors, parts department personnel, and suppliers to mutually expedite problems, efficiently perform repairs, and preventive maintenance responsibilities.

• Created a better repair environment for auxiliary equipment resulting in always having equipment ready for production needs.

• Set-up Parts Cart containing most used parts on machines.
