I am an energetic, intelligent, friendly and responsible person who has experience in caring for the elderly. I am a hands on hardworking person and my personal ethos for caring for the elderly has always been "provide the care that I would like my own loved one to receive ". NURSE ASSISTANT
-I voulunteered at my local Medical Centre with administering medication, temperature reading, Blood Pressure reading as well as assisting the elderly who come into the surgery as well as home follow ups of patients.
-Assist elderly with dementia
-implementing mind stimulating games like word puzzles
-Recognizing triggers for difficult behavior and staying calm, avoiding arguments
-Communicating patiently, slowly and clearly with patients,use of physical touch to help communicate

-Over the past 8 years, I have gained experience in caring for the elderly being the sole carer for my two grandmothers, one who had dementia and the other High Blood Pressure and heart problems, which have sadly passed away. I would now like to offer my services for the good of your organization.
-Assisting with patient's general comfort,personal care and needs
-Prepared meals at appropriate times,encouraged them to drink lots of water so as to avoid dehydration and prompted them to take their medication
-Ensured and monitored that they never missed hospital appointments
-Did cleaning of their household to ensure hygienic standards are met
-Changed their pads when necessary so that the skin does not break and made sure that soiled pads were disposed of appropriately
-Lifted and carried them to the bathtoom,living room and outside for fresh air
