Sept 2022 – Current EHSS Facility/Equipment Safety inspector SAFT Batteries Jacksonville

I perform daily inspections of the entire facility. This includes entire building exterior such as doors, windows, parking lot and drainage systems. I also inspect the factory interior which includes all production equipment, proper use of all available safety equipment (PPE’s),

Chillers, boilers, air handlers, ventilation equipment, fork lifts, fire extinguishers, eyewash station, emergency showers, and other equipment used on a daily basis.

April 2022- Aug 2022 Field Construction Inspector’/Supervisor Clayton Co. Design Build

My job was to make daily site visits to various Duval County School District construction projects to verify the quality of construction the safety of anyone working in or near the construction and the cleanliness of the general work areas. I would then create daily field reports for the school district and the GC over the entire project. I also worked closely with Principals and staff of each school to assure their questions were being answered and arrange meetings with school staff and GC for regular updates. This was a contract position.

Reorganize inventory for Home Depot to help the store flow better for the average consumer. Construct and deconstruct shelving and display

units throughout the store. Operate various pieces of equipment including Fork Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Order Pickers along with other hand

This position manages work performed on the University property by contractors and University employees.

These projects include both DPW and University construction projects.

Analyze and document the development of programmatic requirements with departments on in-house design, BSU, & DPW projects. Assist in the preparation of program documents used by architects and engineers under contract with the Division of Public Works (DPW).

Prepare documents for bidding and construction, and/or coordinate with design consultants on in-house design, BSU, & DPW projects as requested by University departments. Perform all required code analysis with the International Building Code, National Fire Prevention Association, Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Life/Safety Code.

Administer construction contracts on delegated DPW and in-house design projects including the awarding of construction contracts, preparation of change orders, and review of Certificates and Applications for Payment.

Coordinate individual department needs with DPW and Facilities Operations & Maintenance. Provide oversight to the design process, the preparation of bidding documents, the awarding of construction contracts, the preparation of change orders, and the progress of construction on larger projects managed by DPW.

Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with the contract documents on in-house design, BSU, & DPW projects and provide written inspection reports. Resolve construction issues on the job site regarding unforeseen conditions, construction issues, and owner proposed changes.

Represent the University at progress meetings on larger projects, which are managed by DPW. Perform field observations on projects managed by DPW to protect the University’s interests.

Develop & provide current, ongoing information to manage project funding, schedules & scope descriptions for project reporting.
